My name is Charlie DiMarco and I am the founder of DiMarco Athletic.

Track has been a constant in my life since first discovering it in high school. Passion for the sport led me to coaching for 20+ years while also working for an up and coming track equipment supplier. I gained valuable experience learning the industry first hand, inside and out. I learned how to provide repair service for schools such as fixing starting blocks, hurdles, standards and landing pits. No job was too small, not even battery changes on stopwatches. Around 1989 I included discus, javelin and hammer tuning to the service. I honed my skills by working years in the industry, from big jobs like building and installing hammer cages, to smaller but equally important ones such as tuning up USC’s hammers so that they would pass weigh-ins.

One tune up experience, however, inspired me to develop and manufacture the first DiMarco Athletic Hammer. I worked on 1996 Olympic gold medalist Balazs Kiss hammer and knew I wanted to continue to provide world class equipment to world class athletes. 

 

With decades of experience in the track and field industry, I knew there was a need for  higher quality, more durable products that will elevate the athletes performance and allow them to reach their full potential.
